Apple and walnut pancakes

Weekends always seem like a breakfast type of morning. A good breakfast, something exciting. So on Saturday I made apple and walnut pancakes of my own design. I’d have to say that with honey dribbled over them these pancakes were delicious! Recipe below:

Apple and Walnut Pancakes


  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 green apple
  • 1/4 cup of walnuts, make sure the pieces aren’t too big
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • pinch of ground cloves
  • pinch nutmeg
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons raw sugar
  • butter


  1. Mix together dry ingredients
  2. Mix the egg and milk together and add to a well in the dry ingredients
  3. Fold in the grated apple and walnuts
  4. If too thick, add milk, if too thin, add flour
  5. Melt some butter in a frying pan and pour in some batter
  6. Flip when golden brown
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzel with honey to serve

Yummmmmmmm. Perfect start to the day!
